Double Bay Networking Group

DBNG’s philosophy is to strengthen the local businesses of Double Bay through regular structured networking meetings.

Businesses that operate in or supply and service the Double Bay area form the group membership but there is no restriction on the areas of membership. Each DBNG member has his or her own exclusive business category which locks out all competitors. This has created a very effective business referral system.

DBNG is a not for profit organisation, with businesses contributing a nominal amount to cater for meetings and to support the greater Double Bay Community.

We represent a community of approximately 8000 businesses in our district from Double Bay and Edgecliff through to Rose Bay, Paddington, Woollahra and Vaucluse. With the support of Woollahra Council, we actively assist and promote the interests of all businesses in Double Bay and the east. We have a proud four year history and we invite you to join us as we continue to activate business, grow and flourish.

Message from the Mayor of Woollahra

Councillor Susan Wynne

Networking is such an important component of business success. There is nothing quite like collaborating, sharing ideas and making connections to expand business opportunities, grow your client base and deliver greater returns for the love, time and effort you put into your business.

Woollahra Council is pleased to support the work being done by the Double Bay Networking Group (DBNG) to provide events and meetings aimed at giving members the chance to expand their connections an achieve greater success through business and community referrals.

I encourage you to become an active member of the DBNG and I would like to suggest you also take a look at our Placemaking grants program and the guest speaker presentations and training opportunities promoted on our website www.woollahra.nsw.gov.au/business

We also host a range of small business skills events throughout the year and you can find out more at www.woollahra.nsw.gov.au/events

Wishing you all the best with your business.

Become a Member of DBNG

To become a DBNG member there are a few restrictions. An existing business (non member) cannot participate in the following:

  • Apply for membership in the same category as an existing DBNG member
  • Cannot actively participate or engage with DBNG members at the structured meetings.
  • If the requested business category is taken, a business cannot formally apply to the DBNG Executive Committee for membership.
  • A new membership application will require formal committee approval and a signed agreement to accept and follow the DBNG membership guidelines.
  • The purpose of these guidelines is not to exclude but rather to ensure potential members are aware of the guidelines and responsibilities designed for DBNG and its members.

Memberships must be re-applied for on a 12 monthly basis. This again is to ensure continued commitment to DBNG and its members.
