Topic: The Power of Strategic Networking when Targeting a Giant without the Money to Win.

What do the Australian pork industry and Sydney property market have in common? While the two industries may seem miles apart, Mitch Edwards has found a way to use his creativity and passion to contribute to both.

With more than 30 years of experience marketing Australia’s major proteins internationally and domestically, Mitch Edwards has made his mark on how Australians think and enjoy our produce. Mitch has worked on marketing strategies that have transformed struggling rural segments into successful brand leaders. Achievements have included leveraging McDonalds to use Australian beef in their “all American hamburgers” across the US and turning Australia into a pork loving nation that increasingly abides by the powerful message “Get Some Pork on Your Fork”.

Currently, Mitch oversees the FoodService Sales and Marketing Communications programs for Australian Pork and is the face of the prestigious PorkStar Chef Influencer Program. While marketing is known for big budgets, Mitch is focused on big ideas and credits his strong network, leveraging the support of profiled influencers and food media as the keys to his success.

In recent years, Mitch has complemented his career by applying his knowledge and skills in marketing and communications to explore one of his passions. Mitch and his partner, Mark McKie share a love for interior design, renovation and property flipping. It’s no hobby though, with this business transforming more than 20 properties and the couple are sharing their journey through a national TV show with enviable ratings and an evolving digital presence. While the day job and the property hustle may be vastly different, Mitch’s creativity, passion and confidence to be true to himself have enabled him to get many influential game changers on board to share his ideas and join him on this exciting journey and deliver exceptional results.
